Banksy
Banksy is a graffiti artist and no one knows who he is and he is a famous artist and he calls himself Banksy when he turned 18 he went and painted a train with his mates down near the train station he started drawing flowers in vases and rats and other animals bits and now he draws a woman on a wall and it's pretty amazing how much work you put in the art the more it gets realistic and more people to admire it and want to do and make art but Banksy started off with graffiti and now others like his art it sells for a bit of money because no one knows his personal identity it is hidden and you might have seen Banksy but you thought it was some random and did not care so him keepping his identity make others think like me is he old is he young when did he start his art and lots more we don't know because it is hidden from the public and I think it was a good choice to kepp it a secret but he should have asked to paint in some of the places he did was illigal and should of never done some places if he was found he could of been sent away to a place called jail. I don't think Banksy should let anyone know his identity because that might of been famous because no one knows and you should not be arrested for graffiti because others might like it.

How to play bacon
Bacon can be a game played in schools and with your friends.
You can play bacon for as long as you want. Steal the bacon you have to have 6 or more players.
Equipment
6 or more players
an object for the middle
and a person counting the scores
Rules
you have to have even teams.
Honesty: where the object was dropped or put down stop when you get tagged AND ENJOY.
Method
The ref or teacher will give each side the same number on either side of the court so when your number is called for you to run and get the object.
When the numbers are called the two people will run/race to get the object in the middle of the court. When someone picks it up then the other person will chase the other person and tag them before they get back to their line and score a point for the team. If you don't make it back and got tagged they go back and wait for the next number to be called.
At the end of the game, the person counting the scores will tell you who won the game.
Always be honest where you got tagged and carefully put the object down so you are not cheating the object should NEVER be kicked closer to anyone line

Lake Ohau fires
How do the fires start?
The lake Ohau fires started from
an electric spark from the power lines.
When a lady went to take her dog out to the toilet the
dog spotted the fire as it started and warned the
owner before there were and deaths and they evacuated
at 3:00 in the morning.
The network in Waitaki is starting to
get the power lines back up and running
for some people in the village to return
because some houses don't burn.
Why did it spread so far?
The lake Ohau spread so far because
the wind picked up the spark and pushed
through bushes and in a building burning
40 houses and 48 buildings and before the
fire was flaming through houses they got
evacuated from their village and had to go to the closest town.
And it went through 5,040 hectares of land and lake Ohau is
5,400 hectares that were a lot of land lost. An old couple had
Been living in a caravan building a house there and it got wiped
In the fires and a lot of memories and furniture was lots but the best
Thing was no one was injured or was killed.
Who was involved in the fires?
Firefighters and D.O.C were involved in
the fire and the firefighters warned the D.O.C
on how it could be a potential blaze that could
go through Lake Ohau for years until this happened
D.O.C there had been new fire dangers on D.O.C land.
Murray the firefighter that had informed D.O.C for 25 years
And when he retired and fire happened on D.O.C land.
Today we had to research Lake Ohau and the fires that have happened in the school holidays and it was sad for some people to lose there houses and memories of loved ones in the fire and doc had been warned it had a high risk of a fire.

Japan History
Did you know that Japan is 40% bigger than New Zealand? It has 100 million people living there. Have you heard everyone gossiping about the cherry blossoms in Japan? The cherry blossoms are not the national flower, they are the second national flower. The national is a Chrysanthemum. Japan is a well-known tourist attraction with flowers and one of a kind shopping centers. Everywhere you go is a beautiful view.
Culture and Tradition
Early Japanese culture and tradition are influenced by China. Edo Era Japan was isolated and closed there borders from the rest of the world. The national bird of Tokyo is a green pheasant why? because every country has a national animal, flower, and more. Japan has lots of unique views it will leave you stunned.
Location/Geography
Japan is a small island in the pacific ocean off mainland Asia. Tokyo was a small fishing village where they eat lots of fish and sushi. Edo Era during the 16 century Edo was a small castle town which is 1,600 years. Did you know that it's made up of 6,900 islands. Japan is the content of Asia. Japan is surrounded by the sea.
Sports
Japan's national sports are sumo wrestling, judo, and karate. Japan plays other counties' sports such as rugby, baseball, and soccer. The Olympics were supposed to be held in Tokyo in 2020 but they were canceled because of COVID19. The sport Japanese love mostly is baseball and the traditional sport is sumo.
History
They eat lots of imported fish, most sushi is fulled with browned rice and fish. Sometimes in Tokyo on their diet, they eat pork and beef. Did you know that Tokyo is the cleanest city ever it looks brand new? In 1923 an earthquake struck and took half the city down. Japan was discovered 11 February 660 bc.
Conclusion
Well here we are all finished my information text and I hope you have learned a thing or two.
In the last few weeks, we have been doing an information text about Japan the teacher picked the topic because of the Olympic that was canceled there because of coronavirus. Did you know this year the medals were going to be made out of recycled phones because they were just getting thrown away with silver, gold, and bronze?

Should children be allowed to chew gum at school?
1. I think children should not be allowed to chew gum at school because it ends up on the carpet or on your shoes.
2. What if someone puts there fingers under the table and catches germs and all there bacteria out of there mouth and your spreads germ to yourself and others.
3. So if you do find gum and you accidentally touch it wash your hands and don't touch your face.
4. don't chew gum at school because you make the teacher grumpy.
1. Children should be allowed to chew gum at school so they don't get bored .
2. if children were allowed to chew gum at school they should not share gum and put in the bin.
3. if children were allowed to chew gum they could get it at a time the teacher says.
4. if you were allowed to chew gum at school the student should have parent permission.
